3.30 (토) "예수님의 운명" (마가복음 15:33-47)
“Jesus’ Fate” (Mark 15:33-47)

144장

1. 주님께서는 오전 9시에 못박히셔서 오후 3시에 운명하셨습니다.
무려 6시간 동안 십자가 위에서 고통을 감당하셨습니다.
1. Jesus was crucified at 9 am and died at 3 pm.
He suffered on the cross for six hours.

운명하시기 직전 주님께서는 "엘로이 엘로이 레마 사박다니"라는 아람어로 절규하셨습니다.
이것은 다윗의 시편 22:1 히브리어를 아람어로 말씀하신 것이고, 그것을 다시 그리스어로 음역해서 기록해서 성경에 기록되었습니다.
Just before His death, He cried out in Aramaic, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani.”
This is David's Psalm 22:1 spoken in Hebrew, which was then transliterated into Greek and recorded in the Bible.

시편 22편은 다윗이 사울에게 쫓겨 망명 생활 중, 육신적으로 가장 비참했을 때 지은 통회의 시입니다.

주님께서도 육신의 고통이 극에 달했던 것입니다. 그러나 우리가 생각하는 것처럼, 절망과 원망의 마음으로 하신 실언은 아닙니다.
Psalm 22 is a psalm of contrition written by David when he was going through the most physical suffering while living in exile after being chased by Saul.
And Jesus’ physical pain was also at its peak. However, we must not think it was out of despair and resentment.

오히려 이 절규는 고통 중에도 끊어지지 않는 주님의 사랑을 표현한 것이라고 하겠습니다.
(요한복음 10:17-18) 내가 내 목숨을 버리는 것은 그것을 내가 다시 얻기 위함이니 이로 말미암아 아버지께서 나를 사랑하시느니라. 이를 내게서 빼앗는 자가 있는 것이 아니라 내가 스스로 버리노라 나는 버릴 권세도 있고 다시 얻을 권세도 있으니 이 계명은 내 아버지에게서 받았노라 하시니라.
Rather, I would say that this cry is an expression of His unending love for us even in the midst of His suffering.
(John 10:17-18) 17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”

2. (38절) 주님이 운명하시면서 가장 먼저 일어난 일은 성전의 휘장이 찢어진 것입니다. 이것이 얼마나 이례적이고도 중요한 사건인지 마태, 마가, 누가가 모두 기록하였습니다.
2. (Verse 38) The first thing that happened when Jesus died was the curtain of the temple tearing in two from top to bottom. This was such an unusual and important event that Matthew, Mark, and Luke all recorded this in their gospels.

이것은 율법 시대가 끝나고 은혜 시대가 시작되었다는 신호입니다. 대제사장만 들어갈 수 있는 지성소에 모든 믿는 사람들이 예수님의 피를 힘입어 들어갈 수 있게 되었다는 뜻입니다.
This was a sign that the Age of the Law had ended and the Age of Grace had begun. This means that all believers could enter the Holy Temple, where only the high priest could enter before, through the blood of Jesus.

(히브리서 4:16) 그러므로 우리는 담대하게 은혜의 보좌로 나아갑시다. 그리하여 우리가 자비를 받고 은혜를 입어서, 제때에 주시는 도움을 받도록 합시다.
(Hebrews 4:16) Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

(히 6:19) 우리에게는 이 소망이 있으니, 그것은 안전하고 확실한 영혼의 닻과 같아서, 휘장 안에까지 들어가게 해 줍니다.
(Hebrews 6:19) We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,

(히 10:20) 예수께서는 휘장을 뚫고 우리에게 새로운 살 길을 열어 주셨습니다. 그런데 그 휘장은 곧 그의 육체입니다.
(Hebrews 10:20) by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh,

3. (42절) 예수님의 시신을 수습한 사람은 제자들이 아니라 아리마대 출신 요셉이라는 의원이었습니다.
3. (Verse 42) The person who took Jesus' body after He died was not His disciples, but a prominent member of the Council named Joseph of Arimathea.

또 향품을 가져온 사람도 제자가 아니라 니고데모였습니다(요 10:39). 니고데모는 요한복음 3장에서 예수님으로부터 거듭남의 교훈을 배우고 나서, 요한복음 7장에서는 주님을 변호하였고, 마지막 순간에 주님의 장례를 도왔습니다.
Also, the person who brought the spices was not a disciple, but Nicodemus (John 10:39). Nicodemus learned the lesson of rebirth from Jesus in John 3, then defended the Lord in John 7, and helped with His funeral at the last moment.

주님의 마지막 순간을 함께하고 의리도 지켜야 마땅한 제자들이 모두 비겁하게 도망쳐버리고 전혀 예상하지 못했던 사람들이 신의를 지켰다는 것은 충격적입니다.
It is shocking that all the disciples who were supposed to be with Jesus in His last moments and keep their loyalty to Him cowardly ran away, while completely unexpected people kept their faithfulness to Him.

성도들도 잔뜩 기대했던 사람에게는 크게 실망하고, 기대하지 않았던 사람이 어느 순간 믿음의 두각을 나타내는 경우를 경험할 때가 있을 것입니다.
There will also be times when believers are greatly disappointed by those they had high expectations for, and there will be times when those they did not expect much from come out in their faith.

그래도 제자들은 이런 과거의 부끄러웠던 행적을 은폐하지 않고 고백했고 회개하여 결국 제자의 길을 따라갔습니다. 뒤늦게 나마 잘못된 길을 돌이켜 주님을 따르는 것도 참 대단한 용기라고 하겠습니다.
Still, the disciples did not conceal their shameful actions from the past, but confessed, repented, and eventually continued their path of being disciples. I would say that it takes great courage to turn from your wrong path and follow the Lord, even if you think it’s too late.

1. Even during hardships, let us trust in Your love rather than be filled with words of despair and resentment!
2. Please give us the faith to boldly approach the throne of grace thanks to Your blood!
3. Help us not expect too much from people, but help us keep praying for their faith!
