6.11(화) “말씀의 능력" (사도행전 19:8-20)

19:8 And he entered the synagogue and continued speaking out boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading [them] about the kingdom of God.
19:9 But when some were becoming hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the multitude, he withdrew from them and took away the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.
19:10 And this took place for two years, so that all who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.
19:11 And God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,
19:12 so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.
19:13 But also some of the Jewish exorcists, who went from place to place, attempted to name over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, "I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches."
19:14 And seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.
19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said to them, "I recognize Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who are you?"
19:16 And the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaped on them and subdued all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
19:17 And this became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived in Ephesus; and fear fell upon them all and the name of the Lord Jesus was being magnified.
19:18 Many also of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices.
19:19 And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and [began] burning them in the sight of all; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
19:20 So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.

바울은 3달에 걸쳐서 복음을 전했습니다.
그러나 실망스럽게도 몇몇 사람들의 마음이 완고해져서 그 말씀을 받아들이지 않았습니다.
바울은 준비되지 못한 사람과 씨름하기 보다는 다른 곳에서 말씀을 전했습니다.

그는 두란노 학당에서 2년간 말씀을 전했습니다.
지식적인 말씀만 가르친 것이 아니라 바울은 병고침과 귀신을 쫓아내는 능력도 행하였습니다.
(고전 4:20) 하나님 나라는 말에 있지 아니하고, 능력에 있습니다.

몇몇 유대인들은 마음의 문을 열고 받아들이기는 하였으나, 복음의 진리를 통해 진지하게 뿌리내리는 믿음이 아니라 귀신 축출을 신기해하며 신앙을 대했습니다.

(18-19절) 진정성 있는 신앙은 깊은 회개가 동반되어야 하며, 삶의 결단을 통해 열매 맺는 것입니다.
(20절) 이렇게 진리와 능력이 하나가 되었을 때, 주님의 복음이 능력있게 퍼져 나가고 점점 힘을 떨칠 수 있었습니다.

(기도)
1. 복음을 전하다가 배척을 당해도 실망하지 말고 또 다른 영혼을 향해 나아가게 하옵소서!
2. 지식의 말씀과 성령님의 능력이 조화를 이루는 신앙되게 하옵소서!
3. 은혜를 받았을 때, 진정성 있는 회개와 삶의 결단을 통해 열매맺게 하옵소서!

(평세 기도)
1. 호스팅하는 10개 목장과 15 가정이 기쁨과 성령충만으로 섬길 수 있게 하옵소서!
2. 음식을 준비하여 대접하는 5개 초원마다 즐거운 마음으로 섬길 수 있게 하옵소서!
3. 성도들을 보내는 9개 교회마다 목자 목녀로 헌신하게 하옵소서!
